Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are FPL Kings this season

Just six games into this season and Spurs have the two most prolific forwards in the league, with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son boasting 23 G/A between them.

Nobody from Spurs Central will try and argue that Tottenham are perfect and there’s no denying that Jose Mourinho is brilliant but flawed but this season is shaping up to be an exciting one for the North Londoners.

When Everton snuck an away win on the first day of the 2020/21 season, it seemed as though Spurs were destined for yet another disappointing campaign but as things stand, if the Lily Whites had beaten the Merseysiders, they’d be on top of the table.

As the Portuguese gets his side ready to face Antwerp and Brighton in their next two games, things are a lot cheerier than they were several weeks ago. Spurs (16) are the Premier League’s top scorers with Liverpool (15) and Everton (14) their closest competitors in that respect.

The main reason for Spurs bouncing back from their opening day defeat is the incredible form of Harry Kane and Heung Min Son

The former seems to have overcome the niggling issues that have held him back in recent seasons and with Kane (8) leading the assist charts this season in Kevin De Bruyne’s (1) injury-enforced absence, Son is feasting and is currently the leading goalscorer with eight strikes.

Between them, Kane and Son have 134 points this season and are a must-have for all those playing Fantasy Football this year.

If Spurs can remove silly errors and complacency from their game and thus avoid dropping points late on in games like against West Ham, they have an outside chance of challenging for the league title.

Of course, the shocking handball call on Eric Dier that gifted Newcastle United with the chance to rescue a point could be a major talking point later in the season but Spurs have the chance to ensure that is nothing more than a minor gripe come the end of the campaign.

And there’s no doubting that the fitness of Kane and Son will be vital to any chances of success.
