It is a big day for Tottenham Hotspur as Gareth Bale returns to the club after six years at Real Madrid.
The news was confirmed by the club’s official Twitter account immediately after they announced Spanish star Sergio Reguilon.
The Welshman joined Spurs from Southampton in 2007. After struggling to reach his potential in the first few seasons, he reinvented himself as a left-winger.
Bale. Is. Back.

The 31-year-old made 203 appearances for the club during his first spell. During this time, he made 56 goals and 58 assists.
While he failed to win any trophies with us, there was no shortage of personal honours. Bale won the PFA Players Player of the Year twice in 2011 and 2013, the FWA Player of the Year in 2013, and the Premier League Player of the season in 2013.
It is also a success for Jose Mourinho who has finally got his man on the third try. He tried first when he was at Real Madrid and then at Manchester United.
With the Welshman suddenly on board, there is now genuine hope that the club can go on and win a trophy this season.
Bale initially joins on a none year deal. Spurs, however, have the choice of extending it by another year.

According to The Telegraph Bale will cost Tottenham a relatively modest £9m. Given his quality, it could turn out to be one of the steals of the summer.
We take a look at how Spurs fans reacted to the news on Twitter. Understandably a lot of them were happy and are excited to see the Welsh wizard in action.
